THE VISION
It all started with one man's trip to Israel and the desire to bring the authenticity of the Holy Lands back to the students. The stories of the Bible actually took place in real cities, real places, and real times. How can we share this with not just Sonrise Adult & Teen Challenge but Teen Challenges around the world? The vision of going back to Israel to film short videos that coincide with the Group Studies for New Life in Christ was born.
THE JOURNEY
First, Sonrise Adult & Teen Challenge decide to make easy to use PowerPoint presentations for each GSNL. This made it easy for the teachers and the students to stay engaged for each class and created a platform for the new GSNL Enhancements to be embedded and used with ease. A group of staff studied the Holy Lands, made multiple trips on their own dime and finally mapped out each video and location. The next trip consisted of scripts, camera crews, and resulted in 27 videos to be used with the Teen Challenge USA curriculum.
THE HOPE
We now have these GSNL Enhancements ready for your center to download and use in your center, changing the way you teach class every week. But we won't stop there! We have more trips, more videos, and more enhancements ready and planned. Our hope is that Teen Challenges all over the globe will be able to use these and future enhancements to aid their teachers in teaching, partner with us in future trips, and ultimately expose students to the REAL Jesus that can set them free from addiction.
